Job Title: Lead Carpenter - Residential Construction Company: BLB Design Build Location: Amesbury, MA (projects across North Shore, MA and Southern New Hampshire) Job Type: Full-time, W-2 employee Looking for a Lead Carpenter who takes real pride in their work and wants to run clean, organized, high end residential projects without the usual chaos. We're a design build firm based in Amesbury, MA, focused on high quality remodels and new construction across the North Shore and Southern New Hampshire. Our projects are thoughtful, well designed, and built to a high standard and we're looking for someone who operates the same way. What You Can Expect<ul><li>Steady pipeline of high-end residential work</li><li>Small, tight knit crew. Clean work, tight details, and no cutting corners.</li></ul>The RoleYou'll lead projects onsite from mobilization through completion, managing a 1-2 person crew while staying hands on in the work. Responsibilities include:Project Hand Off and Setup<ul><li>Review scope with sales, estimating, and project management</li><li>Coordinate and delegate pre construction tasks</li><li>Mobilize and properly protect the job site</li></ul>Project Execution<ul><li>Lead, direct, and work alongside your crew</li><li>Read and interpret plans accurately</li><li>Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization</li><li>Perform and oversee installation of framing, siding, windows, doors, flooring, trim, drywall, cabinetry, and more</li><li>Communicate regularly with clients and project managers</li><li>Keep the job moving efficiently and on schedule</li></ul>Project Closeout<ul><li>Ensure proper cleanup and professional project completion</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul><li>6+ years of carpentry experience</li><li>2+ years leading a crew or running jobs</li><li>Strong skills in both rough and finish carpentry</li><li>Ability to run a job independently without constant direction</li><li>Solid understanding of residential construction practices and materials</li><li>Professional, respectful communication with clients and team members</li><li>Organized, reliable, and self motivated</li><li>Comfortable with physical work and reading plans</li><li>Experience with high end residential work on the North Shore is a big plus.</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits<ul><li>Full time position</li><li>$30 to $45 per hour depending on experience and capability</li><li>Paid time off (Vacations and Holidays)</li><li>401k with company matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Opportunity to grow within the company</li></ul>Equal Opportunity Employer BLB Design Build is an equal opportunity employer.
